“Highland Ladakh” means you’re doing the highest, remotest circuit: Leh → Nubra → Turtuk/Thang → Pangong → Hanle → Leh. You get 2N Leh, 2N Nubra, 1N Pangong, 1N Hanle 14,763 ft. Day 1 Leh acclimatization. Day 2 Sham Valley lower-altitude tour. Day 3 Khardung La 17,982 ft to Nubra + Hunder dunes. Day 4 Turtuk + Thang border. Day 5 Nubra to Pangong via Shyok. Day 6 is the highlight: Pangong to Hanle via Chushul, Rezang La 16,404 ft, Tsaga La 15,335 ft – 175 km remote dirt road, home to Indian Astronomical Observatory + 32 telescopes. Night sky Bortle 1 – darkest in India. Day 7 Hanle to Leh via Loma, Mahe, Chumathang hot springs, 250 km, 8-9 hrs. Day 8 fly out.Critical: This is 8/10 difficulty. Hanle is 255 km from Leh, no fuel/food/network for 200 km. Altitude 14,763 ft, oxygen 40% less than sea level. Only for fit travelers. Best months: Jun-Sep. Oct-Apr: Hanle -25°C, roads closed.

Day 01: Leh Airport Pickup (4 Kms | 15 minutes approx.)

Arrive at Leh airport, meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your reserved accommodation. Check in to the hotel and get proper rest to acclimatize. Later, in the evening visit the Leh Market, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. O/N : Leh.

Day 02: Leh - Sham Valley - Leh (140 Kms | 5-6 hrs approx.)

After breakfast proceed for an excursion to Sham Valley, visit Likir, Alchi Monastery, Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus Rivers, Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara and Hall of Fame museum. O/N : Leh.

Day 03: Leh to Nubra Valley (128 Kms | 4-5 hrs approx.)

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft). On your arrival in Nubra Valley check in the hotel / camp. After a sumptuous lunch take a walk on the banks of Shayok river, you can also enjoy a ride on double humped camel on the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village, by owns. O/N : Nubra Valley.

Day 04: Hunder -Turtuk- Thang– Hunder (190Kms |6-7 hrs approx.)

After breakfast drive to Thang (the last village of India on India-Pakistan border) this village was captured by Indian Army in the war of 1971 from Pakistan, enroute visit Turtuk and Tyakshi. O/N :Nubra Valley.

Day 05: Nubra - Pangong Lake via Shyok river road (150 Kms | 6-7 Hrs approx.)

After Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake 14,500 ft, drive of 6 – 7 Hrs. Arrival at Camp, Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the color changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. O/N : Pangong Lake.

Day 06: Pangong Lake to Hanle (175 Kms | 6-7 hrs approx.)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Hanle, on the way cross Chushul Village and Tsaga La (15,200 Ft), Hanle, is home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory. The location of the village and the observatory are highly sensitive due to the close proximity of the Tibetan / Chinese border, India set up the Himalayan Chandra Telescope, a 2m gamma ray telescope, here. Once complete, the Major Atmospheric Cerenkov Experiment Telescope gamma ray telescope under construction here, will be the world's largest telescope at the highest altitude and the second largest gamma ray telescope in the world. As per history, it is believed that King Singge Namgyal died here at Hanle while on his return from an expedition on Mongols. Enjoy the stay with locals at local guest house/homestay. O/N : Hanle

Day 07: Hanle – Leh via Chumathang (250 Kms | 8- 9 hrs approx.)

Morning after breakfast drive to Leh via Loma bend and Mahay, enroute visit Chumathang hot springs. Reach Leh by late evening. O/N : Leh

Day 08: Leh Airport Drop (4 Kms | 15 minutes approx.)

Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey Ends.
