This 5-day Baku trip blends modern architecture, ancient petroglyphs, and Caucasus mountain scenery. Arrive at Heydar Aliyev Airport and transfer to hotel. Day 2 covers Baku city: Icherisheher Old City UNESCO site, Shirvanshahs’ Palace, Maiden Tower, Flame Towers viewpoint, Highland Park, and Baku Boulevard along the Caspian. Day 3 heads to Absheron Peninsula and Gobustan: UNESCO-listed Gobustan Rock Art Reserve with 40,000-year-old petroglyphs, mud volcanoes, Bibi-Heybat Mosque, Ateshgah Fire Temple, and Yanar Dag burning mountainside. Day 4 is a full-day excursion to Shahdag Mountain Resort in the Greater Caucasus for alpine views and seasonal activities like cable car, skiing in winter, or hiking in summer. Day 5 is free for shopping at Nizami Street, Green Bazaar, or Port Baku Mall before departure transfer. Mix of history, geology, and mountains. Best season Apr-Oct for sightseeing, Dec-Mar for Shahdag skiing.
