This 5-day Armenia trip covers Yerevan and the country’s most iconic UNESCO sites. Arrive in Yerevan for a guided city tour of Republic Square, Northern Avenue, Opera House, Cascade Complex, and Mother Armenia Monument. Day trip to Geghard Monastery, a 13th-century cave monastery named for the “holy spear” that pierced Christ, plus Garni Temple, the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded temple in the former USSR, built 77 AD for God Mihr. Photo stop at Charents Arch for Mt. Ararat views. Visit Tsaghkadzor “gorge of flowers”, Kecharis Monastery, and ride the ropeway up Teghenis Mountain. Continue to Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes, and Sevanavank Monastery on the peninsula. All nights in Yerevan. Mix of Christian heritage, pagan history, and mountain-lake landscapes. Best season Apr-Oct; Tsaghkadzor is a ski resort in winter.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrival in Yerevan. Meet & transfer to the Hotel.

DAY 2: YEREVAN CITY TOUR

After breakfast we will start our day with Yerevan city tour, which includes: Republic square, Northern Avenue, Opera House, Cascade and Mother Armenia Monument. Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 3: YEREVAN - GEGHARD MONASTERY - GARNI TEMPLE

After breakfast at the hotel drive to the unique caved temple St. Geghard (12th -13th cc.), the name of which means “holy spear” in the honor of the same spear that pierced the body of cucified Jesus Christ. It is now exhibited in the museum of Etchmiadzin Cathedral on the way short Photo stop at Charents Arc. Visit the only remaining pagan temple in Armenia devoted to the God of Sun – Myrth, Garni, built in 77 AD by King Trdat. Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 4: TSAGHKADZOR – SEVAN LAKE – SEVANAVANK MONASTERY

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Tsaghkadzor (means “gorge of flowers”) town, the magical place of forested mountains. Short walking tour around the small town. Opportunity go up to the mountain peaks by rope way, where you will catch an unforgettable gorgeous panoramic view of this part of the world (going up the first level and back). In winter Tsakhkadzor is a well-known ski resort with several levels of ropeways leading up the mountains. In summer it’s a pleasant place to spend the afternoon in nature and enjoy the sun. Visit Kecharis monastery and after on rope way to Teghenis Mountain. Drive to Sevan lake and visit Sevanavank monastery. Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport with great memories.
