Day 1 : Kangerlussuaq Arrival.

Kangerlussuaq is the Greenlandic name, meaning “the long fjord”. The first sight of Greenland is truly special and will set the scene for your holiday.

Day 2 : Kangerlussuaq

Excursion to the Ice Sheet, Point 660 - The Greenland Ice Sheet is the second largest ice sheet in the world and covers 80 percent of Greenland and has, at all times, attracted expeditions and researchers. And with good reason; it is a truly unique experience to look at the enormous field of ice and feel the forces of nature. Once we arrive at Point 660, we will hike up onto the Ice Sheet following a path that has been prepared through the glacial moraine. The width of this track shows you how much the ice has retreated in the years. On the Icecap itself, we have breathtaking views of this enormous sheet of ice that stretches as far as the eye can see.

Day 3 : Kangerlussuaq – Nuuk by flight

The biggest city in Greenland, Nuuk is unlike any other capital in the world. Imagine a quaint town nestled in a beautiful fjord, surrounded by pristine nature – that’s Nuuk, the capital of Greenland.

City sightseeing tour - This historical insight to Nuuk city will give you a greater understanding of the conditions and customs of this country. During the trip there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures or take a short walk up to the Hans Egede Statue next to the Cathedral. After exploring the catch of the day and learning a little about the importance of hunting in Greenland, you will head up into the modern center of Nuuk past Greenland’s Parliament building.

Day 4 : Nuuk

Icefiord Cruise - This excursion takes us into the Icefiord north of Nuuk, where most of the icebergs in and around Nuuk originates from. Here, north of the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq, we’ll find a good spot among the ice where we can enjoy the views whilst listening to the glistening ice as bubbles of air are released when they slowly melt away.

Day 5 : Nuuk

Hiking tour around Quassussuaq - Enjoy Greenlandic nature and hike among the mountains with us! Hike up Quassussuaq, surrounded by serene mountains and lakes. You will be guided by local guides. We believe that local guides are the key to unlocking the true essence of a destination. The deep-rooted understanding of the terrain, culture, and hidden gems allow us to curate an unforgettable journey that go beyond the ordinary. As we get higher and higher, we will be able to see more and more of the deep fiord to the east and the big ocean to the west, making it look vaster and vaster for every step we take.

OPTIONAL(no extra cost): Overnight in Aurora Hut hut igloo - Aurora hut Igloo is a basic, tiny but unique hut you can sleep in, made almost entirely of glass, and is one of its kind in Greenland. There is a queen size bed. The windows have curtains. With radio and bluetooth you have the opportunity to play your own music list with a great sound. The electricity is provided from a methanol battery, and the hut has light installed all round both inside and outside. It is warmed from an oil burner and is warm and cozy, you can regulate the heat yourself and there is also an air conditioner. It has a small gas kitchen stoves, running drinking water and has a toilet.

Day 6 : Departure

End your Greenlandic adventure while bringing home a wealth of experiences from this amazing land. Airport transfer.
